Abstrakt

Projekt navazující na grant č. 16-09064S (2016–2018) bude zkoumat podoby humanistické literární produkce v českých zemích od konce 15. do poloviny 17. století. Na příkladu konkrétních humanistických autorů a jejich literárních postupů a pohybu v literárním poli ukážeme jak specifika, tak vzájemnou interakci a ovlivňování různých humanistických lingvoliterárních komunit píšících v latině a vernakulárních jazycích (češtině, němčině). Zvláštní pozornost se soustředí na intertextové vztahy mezi latinskou literární produkcí a vernakulárními literaturami a na problematiku humanistického multilingvismu. Projekt bude dále zkoumat kolektivní učenecké praktiky ovlivňující humanistickou literaturu, především fungování literárních polí, mecenát a zapojení do učeneckých sítí. Výsledky bádání budou prezentovány na zahraničních konferencích, v odborných časopiseckých studiích a především ve druhém (závěrečném) dílu monografie Companion to Central and Eastern European Humanism: The Czech Lands, který bude vydán v nakladatelství De Gruyter.

Summary

The project, which follows up on project No. 16-09064S (2016–2018), will analyse forms of Humanist literary production in the Czech lands from the late 15th to the mid-17th centuries. Using the examples of individual Humanist authors, their literary practice and strategies within literary fields, we will identify the features of the various Humanist literary communities that wrote in Latin and vernacular languages. At the same time, we will chart these communities’ interactions and reciprocal influences. Special attention will be paid to the intertextual links between Latin and vernacular literature and to issues around multilingualism. The project will also highlight the collective scholarly practices that influenced Humanist literature in the period, with a focus on the workings of literary fields, patronage systems and scholarly networks. The project’s findings will be presented at international conferences, in academic journal articles and, above all, in the second volume of the book Companion to Central and Eastern European Humanism: The Czech Lands to be published by De Gruyter.
