The first part of the book presents a new translation of Comenius' 1640 school play Diogenes Cynicus redivivivus. This well-known text has waited 54 years for a new translation; the new Czech translation will surely be more appealing to many readers than Josef Hendrich's aged translation. The second part of the book offers readers a Czech translation of Comenius' second play, Abrahamus Patriarchus. Only small excerpts from this work of Comenius have been available to Czech readers so far. Both translations, accompanied by commentaries and an introductory study, were prepared by Markéta Klosová as her last work.
